We’re four weeks into the NCAA basketball season and one team remains head and shoulders above all others when it comes to 2021 March Madness odds and that’s the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
The best basketball betting sites have Gonzaga as the +350 favorite in NCAA championship odds, dropping from +450 just one week ago.
Bettors and fans were robbed of getting to watch the highly anticipated Gonzaga-Baylor matchup due to COVID-19 but Gonzaga did get to go head-to-head with then-No. 3 Iowa over the weekend, scoring a 99-88 victory. Of the Bulldogs’ four wins this season, three have come against ranked teams, two of them in the top 10.
The Hawkeyes (+1000) are third in NCAA championship odds for the second straight week despite the loss to Gonzaga.
The Baylor Bears, who throttled the sixth-ranked Illinois Fighting Illini 82-69 earlier this season, are second on the oddsboard behind Gonzaga at +800. Baylor had to cancel another game vs a ranked opponent in No. 17 Texas (+1800) on December 13 but the Bears and Longhorns will face each other in conference play on February 2, 2021.
Illinois and the Villanova Wildcats, who opened the season as the betting favorite in NCAA championship odds, both have +1400 odds to cut down the nets in March. Villanova suffered an early loss to Virginia Tech but has bounced back with wins over Hartford, Texas and Butler.
Now, here are the latest March Madness odds for the top 25 teams on the board to win the 2021 NCAA basketball national championship:
