What a sports week as the World Series starts tonight in Houston as the Nats-Astros collide!

There’s the “GRAND OPENING” of the NBA 2019-2020 SEASON…

AND THERE’S LOADS OF FOOTBALL TOO!

Pick a sport, any sport.

There’s great action here in the month of October – wall-to-wall Football plus tonight it’s both Game 1 of the World Series and Day One of this 2019-2020 NBA season – and so there’s plenty of winnin’ that will be going on here all week / all month long. Don’t be on the sidelines, climb aboard and let us bang out a bunch of winners for you today!

And now hear this …

The On Top of the Line Sports Network has the Side & Totals winners of NFL Week 8 game beginning with Thursday’s clash between the Washington Redskins at the Minnesota Vikings plus get all the College Football, World Series and NBA winners too each and every day there’s action – just call us at our toll-free telephone # of 1-800-618-5463 or get the winners right here online at www.otlsports.com and keep on piling up the profits.

THE WORLD SERIES PREVIEW!
NATIONALS VS. ASTROS

There are folks weighing in with the idea that this World Series price – the Houston Astros are – 235 / the Washington Nationals are + 195 – is on the “high” side but keep in mind the following three items in Houston’s favor:

First off, the first two and last two (if necessary) games of this best-of-seven set are at Minute Maid Park where this season the Astros went 60-21 in regular-season play and 5-1 in the playoffs. Overall, the ‘Stros went 107-55 in the regular season and they are 7-4 in the post-season … simply put they are the best team in baseball with the most well-balanced team in the sport and they don’t often lose at home;

Next, Houston’s pitching staff – from top-to-bottom – is simply better than Washington although the Nats’ bullpen has been wonderful this post-season. Go ahead and sing the praises of Washington’s one-two-three punch of starting pitchers RHP Max Scherzer, RHP Stephen Strasburg and LHP Patrick Corbin – they’ve combined for 55.1 innings pitched this post-season and they’ve struck out 86 batters and allowed just 37 hits – but the Astros’ big three of RHP Gerrit Cole, Justin Verlander and Zack Greinke has yielded just 43 hits in 61 innings (yes, they’re only a combined 4-4 this post-season) and they’ll be pitching all four of the Houston home games should this Fall Classic go the distance;

Finally, there’s the rest vs. rust factor: Six of the last seven teams to win the World Series had less rest than their opponents and Washington’s heading into this series with a full week off – likely that upsets the offensive rhythm and may even negatively affect the Nats’ bullpen guys too.

THE NBA 2019-2020 SEASON

For the first time in eons – or so it seems – neither the Cleveland Cavaliers nor the Golden State Warriors are favored to win it all this year. In fact, here’s the odds to win this year’s championship as we concentrate on the major favorites (all odds based on $100 plays):

TEAM                             ODDS TO WIN IT ALL

LA Clippers                            + 250

LA Lakers                               + 275

Milwaukee                            + 500

Houston                                 + 550

Philadelphia                          + 550

Golden State                         + 900

Utah                                       + 1400

Denver                                   + 1700

Boston                                   + 2000

Toronto                                  + 2200

Brooklyn                                + 2500

Allow us to weigh in and we’ll say come next spring the Eastern Conference Finals will be a matchup of the Philadelphia 76ers vs. the Milwaukee Bucks; the NBA’s Western Conference Finals will pit the Houston Rockets vs. the Denver Nuggets … and some eight-plus months out from the NBA Finals the OTL Experts say it’ll be Philly over Denver in 6 games for the next league champion. Write it down and Mark it!

NFL NEWS & NOTES

The New England Patriots battered the 9.5-point underdog New York Jets 33-0 in the NFL Week 7 Monday Night Football Game and whether it was the Patriots’ game-opening 16-play, 78-yard touchdown drive (remember the Jets won the coin toss and deferred … bright!) or that N’England defense that shut down and shut out the J-E-T-S “starring” QB Sam Darnold (a 3.6 QB Rating, whoa!) the bottom line is Bill Belichick’s crew has not allowed a TD in four of its first seven games. From a spread standpoint, the Pats are now 9-2 ATS (against the spread) since late last year and the 20th-year head coach is now 202-140-9 ATS. Look it up!
