78-43 SU (64.5%) | 64-56-1 ATS (53.3%) | 65-54-2 O/U (54.6%) |
As you can see, favorites have been winning their games outright at an impressive clip and have started to close the gap when it comes to the spread. When the bubble first started, the dogs held their own in Orlando and made a lot of bettors some coin in the regular-season stage of the bubble.
Teams like the Nets, Blazers, Spurs and Suns were also especially kind to moneyline bettors in the regular-season games and came through in the clutch against tough teams by winning outright (team betting records are below).
For totals, sportsbooks have had to adjust their numbers on the fly, but the OVER is hitting at 53.3 percent. Of note, though, there have been 37 games with closing totals of 230 or more and the O/U record from those games is 15-22 (40.5 percent). Additionally, there have been three games with totals that closed above 240 and those games went 1-2 O/U.

Favorites have been taking care of business in the NBA postseason with teams like the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics each sweeping their best-of-seven series as a favorite in each game. Underdogs have yet to truly make a dent in the playoff series outside of the Dallas Mavericks and OKC Thunder, who are tied at 2-2 in their series with the Clippers and Rockets respectively.
