College Football Week 7 Previews!
Florida at No. 7 Texas (-10.5) (12 p.m., ABC)
Arch Manning has a 53.2% completion percentage with three TDs and three interceptions in SEC play – and this is a dangerous spot for the Longhorns. Florida, however, has the worst pass defense in the SEC (268.7 ypg.), and Texas allows 2.8 yards per carry. Look for Texas to get revenge for last year’s 29-21 loss to the Gators.
No. 4 Ohio State (-3.5) at No. 5 Indiana (12 p.m., Fox)
Can Indiana beat the Buckeyes with the same formula as last season? Ohio State has allowed 2.9 yards per carry the last two weeks – and that’s going to press Josh Hoover into making some third-down plays in the passing game. Hoover delivered against Nebraska, but Ohio State can score, too. Jeremiah Smith had eight catches for 144 yards in last year’s matchup.
No. 16 Missppi State at No. 22 LSU (-11.5) (12 p.m., ESPN)
Mississippi State is coming off a bye week – and Kamario Taylor has at least three TD passes in every game this season. The Bulldogs had four turnovers in the 56-23 loss to Alabama on Oct. 3. The Tigers are 2-2 ATS at home this season, but a first-half hangover from the Kentucky loss might be in effect. If Mississ
Virginia at No. 24 SMU (-7.5) (12 p.m., The CW)
Virginia’s two losses were away from home and the Mustangs won the last meeting 33-7 in 2024. The Mustangs had a bye week to prepare. SMU is 14-2 S/U at home since joining the ACC, but they are 9-7 ATS. Beau Pribula, who has 13 TDs and one interception, does not turn the ball over much. This could be an ACC chaos game.
No. 25 Northwestern (-8.5) at Michigan State (12 p.m., Peacock)
Pat Fitzgerald faces Northwestern, where he won 110 games during his tenure from 2006-22. The Spartans have allowed 33.3 points per game in Big Ten play, and Northwestern has the combination of a rushing attack that averages 5.2 yards per carry. It’s also a return game for quarterback Aidan Chiles, a Michigan State transfer.
Auburn at No. 1 Georgia (-19.5) (3:30 p.m., ESPN)
The Tigers are 1-2 in SEC play, but they average 24.7 points in those games with first-year coach Alex Golesh. The Bulldogs have won the last 10 meetings, but the last three meetings have been decided by 11.8 points per game. This could play out right on the line, as Georgia averages 41.3 points in SEC games at home. Turnovers can amplify that.
No. 13 Missouri at No. 9 Ole Miss (-6.5) (3:30 p.m., SEC Network)
Can the Tigers keep it rolling around quarterback Austin Simmons? The Ole Miss transfer is fourth in the SEC with a 164.7 passer rating. The Tigers will have to pressure Trinidad Chambliss, who has a 157.6 passer rating at home. Don’t forget about the running backs. Missouri’s Jamal Roberts ranks second in the FBS with 828 rushing yards, and Kewan Lacy is healthy for the Rebels. Missouri is 0-6 S/U as a road underdog since 2024. This will be a fun game.
Arizona State at No. 10 Texas Tech (-15.5) (3:30 p.m., Fox)
Arizona State gave up an average of 51.5 points in losses to Texas A&M and Baylor. Texas Tech’s offense is better than those teams, and the Sun Devils had seven turnovers in those games. Texas Tech is 1-2 ATS a home, so the line is tricky. But the defense has nine interceptions – and Will Hammond will cash in on those turnovers.
No. 6 Alabama (-7.5) at No. 14 Tennessee (3:30 p.m., ABC)
Alabama will have to shake off the loss to Georgia fast. Tennessee has won the last two meetings at Neyland Stadium between these classic rivals. The Vols have a tough defense that has not allowed more than 24 points in a game this season. George MacIntyre is settling in as a starter, too. Still, Alabama presents too many issues on offense with Keelon Russell. The Crimson Tide bounce back
Florida State at No. 3 Miami (-21.5) (7 p.m., ESPN)
The Hurricanes have won the last two matchups in the series by an average of 14 points. This is a huge spread. The Seminoles allowed an average of 47 points in losses to Alabama and Louisville – and the Hurricanes have an offense that can score in bunches around Darian Mensah. The defense allows an FBS-best 1.8 yards per carry.
No. 2 Notre Dame (-10.5) at No. 8 BYU (7:30 p.m., ESPN)
There are two elite rushing defenses in this game. Notre Dame allows 2.1 yards per carry. BYU checks in at 2.9 yards per carry. That means CJ Carr and Bear Bachmeier are going to have to make plays through the air – and Notre Dame has a plus-13 turnover margin. The Cougars have just three turnovers this year.
No. 18 Oklahoma State at No. 20 Houston (-3.5) (7:30 pm., Fox)
This could be a fun Big 12 shootout. Houston ranks 12th in the FBS in total offense with a balanced attack that features Conner Weigman (15 TDs, 1 INT). The Cougars average 230 rushing ypg. The Cowboys wil’ engage with quarterback Drew Mestemaker and an offense that ranks sixth in the FBS in total offense. A victory would launch Oklahoma State into the CFP conversation.
No. 15 Kentucky at Oklahoma (-6.5) (7:30 p.m., SEC Network)
Kentucky is back in the AP Top 25 after a second straight thrilling overtime victory. This is the best defense the Wildcats have faced – one that allows 3.3 yards per carry. The Sooners have allowed just six points in two home games – but that wasn’t against SEC competition. Will the Wildcats’ luck run out here? Will John Mateer get the Sooners’ offense going at home? Kentucky is 3-0 S/U as an underdog.
Wisconsin at No. 12 UCLA (-3.5) (7:30 p.m., NBC)
UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava suffered an injury against Oregon – and his status will need to be monitored. The Badgers rank fourth in the Big Ten in total defense (267.2 ypg.), so this will be a challenge for Bruins running back Wayne Knight, who has three straight 100-yard games in Big Ten play. Colton Joseph keeps the Badgers in a four-quarter game, but it’s hard to pick against UCLA right now.
Colorado at No. 11 Utah (-15.5) (ESPN)
Utah is rolling under first-year coach Morgan Scalley. The Utes are 5-0 ATS this season, and quarterback Devon Dampier has taken just six sacks. Colorado had a bye week to figure out an offense that averaged nine points through three straight losses under Deion Sanders. The Buffaloes are 2-6 ATS as a road underdog since 2025.
No. 21 Wake Forest (-9.5) at Cal (10:30 p.m., ESPN2)
Wake Forest has scored 30-plus points in five of six games – and Jake Dickert has the Demon Deacons playing clean football with just three turnovers. Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele (concussion) missed the Golden Bears’ 25-20 victory against Virginia Tech in Week 6. It’s late-night ACC football – and Wake Forest has covered in four straight games.
