When the Browns (9-3) host the Ravens (7-5) in Cleveland on “Monday Night Football” (8:15 p.m. ET) to close Week 14 of the 2020 NFL season, they will be looking to create some separate in the race for an AFC wild-card spot.

Cleveland also can suddenly get within a game of Pittsburgh (11-2) for the AFC North lead with win. Baltimore goes into the game ranked No. 8 in the conference, looking to pull even with Miami (8-5), the current last team in the AFC playoffs at No. 7.

Baker Mayfield and the Browns are hot after beating the Titans on the road in Week 13. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens got well with an easy win over the Cowboys at home in Week 13.

Here’s everything to know about betting on Browns vs. Ravens in Week 14, including updated odds, trends and our prediction for “Monday Night Football.”

Browns vs. Ravens odds

  • Spread: Ravens by 3
  • Point total: 45.5
  • Odds: Ravens -171, Browns +151

The Ravens started the week as one-point favorites before their rout of the Cowboys on Tuesday. They bumped up to a field goal late in the week. The Browns should be pumped for home in prime time, with another opportunity like this coming up on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 15.

Browns vs. Ravens all-time series

The Ravens have dominated the Browns, who play in their former home. They are 32-11 in 43 meetings. The Ravens have won two in a row and a eight of the past 10. The Browns did win in Sept. 2019 and at home in Oct. 2018.

Three trends to know

— 54 percent of spread bettors are on the Ravens to win by more than a field goal and cover.

— 90 percent of over/under bettors like the game to exceed a relatively low total for two good offenses.

— The Browns are 5-7 against the spread this season with seven of their games going over. The Ravens are 6-5-1 against the spread and the total has gone over in six of their games.

Three things to watch

Mayfield off play-action

When the Browns continue to power-run well with Nick Chubb, it sets up Mayfield for easy throws downfield, just like he lit up the Titans in the first half last week. Mayfield is playing with more confidence with a fully healthy Jarvis Landry and spreading the ball around. The Ravens have a good secondary but it has been more vulnerable of late.

Jackson and downfield action

The Ravens need to get some more big plays in the passing game against a Browns secondary missing its best cornerback, Denzel Ward. They also are a run-oriented offense with Jackson,  J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards, but they need to keep reemerging top speed wideout Marquise Brown involved.

Stopping Chubb

Chubb has been a dominant feature back for the Browns since his return on Nov. 15. with 464 rushing yards in the past four games. If he can keep that up, the Browns should win.

Stat that matters

111.6. That’s how many average rushing yards the Ravens have given up over the past three games. They got a little break from the Cowboys in Week 13, but injuries up front have hurt them and that should help the run-heavy Browns stick with their power attack and help Mayfield.

Browns vs. Ravens prediction

The Browns can taste the end of their big turnaround with coach Kevin Stefanski. They are confident with a lot of momentum while the Ravens haven’t been to tap consistently into the success of last season. Cleveland evens the score with Baltimore in a “revenge” game a long time coming.
