Given the fact that both teams love to play defense and have their flaws on the offensive end, it’s going to be a battle of attrition here. While Texas Tech can step up the pace offensively if they so choose, it will be a challenge to get a good look against the Cavaliers. Virginia is going to have to be careful with their variety of screens and cuts on the offensive end not to get lazy and commit turnovers to lead to easy buckets. Both teams have really been terrific to get to this point. In the end, you might have to go with the team with the longer track record and that gives Virginia the slimmest of edges as they look to earn their first title in school history over a very tough Texas Tech team.
